Young scientists, accelerated by AI
ICAIS 2026 Track 2 invites original AI and scientific discovery projects led by enrolled middle- or high-school students. The track celebrates early-stage scientific curiosity and aims to inspire the AI scientists of tomorrow.
Projects may explore theory and algorithms; AI models and architecture; optimization and reinforcement learning; embodied intelligence; AI systems and infrastructure; AI safety, alignment, and ethics; or applications across the sciences and society.

Prepare your work
Paper format
- Submit an extended abstract or project report of up to 4 pages.
- Include parent or guardian consent and a teacher or mentor endorsement as supplementary materials.
Anonymity & disclosure
- Track 2 follows a single-blind review process by educators and AI researchers.
- Disclose the use of AI tools in the research and writing process.
- Declare all relevant conflicts of interest accurately in the submission form.
Originality policy
- The submission must be the original work of the student author or authors.
- The work must not have been published elsewhere.
Author commitment
- Authors are accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and ethical compliance of all submitted material.
- At least one author of each accepted submission must register and present the work in person.
- Supplementary material must be directly relevant to the claims made in the paper.
- Accepted authors must submit the final version by the camera-ready deadline.
Complete the submission
- Confirm that the student authors and project meet the Track 2 eligibility and originality requirements.
- Prepare the manuscript and required supplementary files according to the Track 2 author guidelines above.
- Use one CMT submission record per paper. Enter the title, abstract, author information, conflicts of interest, subject areas, and AI-use disclosure.
- Upload the manuscript PDF and any required supporting documents, then verify the generated submission record before the deadline.
- Keep the paper ID from CMT for all correspondence with the ICAIS 2026 organizing committee.
Submit through Microsoft CMT
All ICAIS 2026 Track 2 papers must be submitted electronically through Microsoft CMT. Email submissions are not accepted.
Microsoft CMT submission workflow
- Open Microsoft CMT and sign in or create an account.
- Open the conference submission site for “ICAIS 2026: International Conference on AI Scientists.”
- Create a new submission, choose Track 2 · Young Scientist, complete every required field, and upload the required files.
- Submit before the relevant AoE deadline and confirm that the paper appears in your CMT author console.
